Professional Background

I am a licensed clinical social worker who specializes in working with children, adolescents and their families. I received my master’s degree in clinical social work from Smith College, and post-graduate training in the advanced treatment of adolescents at New York University. I am trained in providing child-centered play therapy as well as exposure and response prevention in the treatment of OCD in children and teens.

Prior to relocating to the Washington D.C. area, I treated children, adolescents and adults at a group practice in Manhattan. I have experience providing in-home family therapy in New York City, and have worked in intensive outpatient settings treating substance use and personality disorders in both adolescent and young adult populations.

My Therapy Style

I blend behavioral modalities with a collaborative, relational approach to help children and teens navigate the social and emotional challenges of today’s world. I utilize a positive discipline approach to supporting parents in improving relationships within their family and am passionate about helping families make the changes needed to gain greater satisfaction and stability in their lives.

A Little Bit About Me Outside of the Therapy Room

A mother of two myself, I enjoy being active outdoors and spending time with family and friends.
