Professional Background

Studying at the University of Maryland, School of Social Work for the past two years was an experience that showed me how grateful I am to choose this career path. During my time at UMD, I was lucky to be able to gain a vast amount of useful skills and work with a diverse range of individuals, couples, and families with a variety of presenting concerns. I was also able to provide services in different school systems alongside Sheppard Pratt Youth Services and Advanced Behavioral Health working closely with school officials such as school counselors and teachers. I was able to provide services to young children, teens, and their families during this time.

My involvement in the school system has equipped me with invaluable skills in collaborating with teachers, counselors, and other staff members to support the students under my care. In addition to conducting individual sessions, I provided parent coaching services to the parents of the students and adolescents I supported to support parents in navigating the challenges of raising children and adolescents. These services were available in both group and individual formats.

I am excited to continue expanding my professional experiences as a therapist at Family Therapy Center of Bethesda! I look forward to helping clients grow and providing the best treatment tailored to their needs.

My Therapy Style

My therapy style is integrative, drawing from a range of evidence-based modalities including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, play therapy, motivational interviewing, and family systems theory. I approach therapy with empathy, warmth, and non-judgment, creating a safe and supportive space where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. I view therapy as a collaborative journey, working alongside clients to identify patterns, develop insight, and cultivate skills for growth and resilience. I believe in tailoring therapy to meet the unique needs and goals of each client, ensuring a personalized and holistic approach to healing.

A Little Bit About Me Outside of the Therapy Room

When I am out of the office during my free time I love spending time with friends and family. I love being able to spend my time outdoors with my fiancé and dogs as much as I can. Some of my favorite things to do are reading, trying new foods especially if it is something sweet, hiking, traveling anywhere new, exercising, and spending time with those that I cherish and love. When I am able to relax I love being able to curl up on the couch and put on a good movie!
